The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has long been regarded as a flashpoint in the South Caucasus, representing a significant threat to regional security and stability. The conflict has had an impact not only on the lives and livelihood of the conflicting parties, but also on regional prosperity more broadly, hindering regional cooperation and integration. A solution to the conflict would bring significant economic benefits to the whole region.

At this Policy Dialogue organised by the European Policy Centre in cooperation with LINKS, a new study by Berlin Economics on the benefits of peace was presented and discussed among speakers from Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the EU. Speakers examined how confidence-building measures can contribute to the peace efforts. The current state of the peace process, and opportunities to advance it, were also addressed.
