Giulia Torchio
Junior Policy Analyst
Giulia Torchio is a Junior Policy Analyst in the Europe’s Political Economy Programme at the European Policy Centre.
She is a recent graduate of the University of Amsterdam, with an MA in European Studies and a focus on the internal policy of the EU. Giulia has a strong interest in privacy and data protection, which she further explored in her thesis on the social and legal implications of Web 3.0 technologies for EU data subjects.
Prior to joining the EPC, Giulia worked as an assistant to the Head of the International Relations department at the American University of Rome, and as a summer intern for the US Federal Trade Commission. She was also part of the Amsterdam chapter of the student-led policy incubator "European Horizons", to which she contributed on transatlantic privacy matters.
